Jewellery Care.
At KATHELABEL, we want to provide you with jewellery that is not only affordable but also made from quality materials. With any kind of jewellery, it is important to handle them gently and follow simple care steps that will help keep them looking new all the time.
As a majority of our pieces are 18k gold-plated stainless steel, they are able to withstand water and moisture much longer. However, we still advise that you minimise this so that the plating and shine of your pieces remain. If your pieces come in contact with water, be sure to gently pat dry before storing it away. By following these steps consistently, your jewellery can easily last up to 2 years before losing most of its shine. Remember, the more you care for jewellery, the longer they last.
18K GOLD-PLATED / SILVER STAINLESS STEEL:
You may wear them while showering, exercising or sleeping (though we advise removing them to extend the longevity of your jewellery's plating and shine).
Before storing, gently wipe your pieces with our complimentary jewellery cloths to remove any residue, oils or marks, to restore its shine.
Avoid contact with any chemicals or cosmetics (perfumes and lotions should be applied BEFORE your jewellery)
Avoid pieces being scratched on rough surfaces or rubbed against each other. General wear and tear is at the responsibility of the customer.
STERLING SILVER:
To maintain the shine and quality of your sterling silver pieces, store them in your KATL jewellery box or pouch provided with each order.
Avoid exposure to moisture as warm air can compromise the brilliance of your pieces. Though pure water does not damage 925 SS, it is still advised that you avoid contact with most water as they may not be as pure.
While SS is durable, it is still important ensure that care is taken to prevent your jewellery being scratched — use a microfiber cloth / jewellery cloth to polish your pieces.
When not in use always clean ALL your pieces with our jewellery cloth to restore shine, and keep in a sealed, separate storage like our provided keepsake jewellery boxes or pouches, to maintain its quality, condition and longevity. Please understand that we are not responsible for general wear & tear or damaged pieces made after your purchase, due to negligence of care.
